Speaker: DARLA INTROIntroduction to Darla Lackey and Pay It Forward Fort Smith Meet Darla Lackey. Darla is the executive director of the non profit called Pay It Forward Fort Smith.

Darla: the board and it was just a matter of.

Speaker: Racist Messages and Board Tensions

Darla: I started receiving, you know, racist text messages from him about the mayor of Fort Smith and his manhood and the color of his manhood and, um, messages

Speaker: about other nonprofit founders and calling them racist names. Like she said, Darla received racist text messages, but it wasn't from LaDonna Humphrey, but it wasn't from LaDonna Humphrey. It was from Dennis McCaslin, one of Ladonna's most loyal surrogates.

Darla: Such as, you know, I don't want to repeat them.

Javier: Well, but but you could you could say it for me so

Darla: okay. Okay. The, he, - he would call him -a coon, like, uh, Charlotte Tidwell. Um, she's the Antioch youth and ministries, uh, president and founder. I mean, she's, she's a wonderful woman and he was insulting her. He was sending me messages. Saying that people on the North side of town deserve more watermelon than the people on the other sides of town.

Speaker: In our previous episode with Anthony Christopher, we discussed how LaDonna Humphrey seemed to be using Dennis McCaslin's toxic blog to re victimize the people she's accused of harassing. Dennis McCaslin, Dennis, Dennis McCaslin, David McClam, these are LaDonna's people. Misery loves company, I guess. So, how are Dennis McCaslin and Darla Lackey connected? Well, they met after Darla Well, they met after Darla and well, they met after Darla and the board of pay it forward, Ford Smith recruited Dennis McCaslin to join their Pay It Forward Fort Smith's Community Efforts Pay it forward. Smith is exactly what it sounds like. It is a group dedicated to give. It is a group dedicated to give back to the. It is a group dedicated to giving back to the community. They have a Facebook group where local residents post when they're in need. One woman recently posted that her son's birthday is coming up, and that she's looking for some clothes or toys. Another was looking for a queen size mattress. Volunteers also lend their time to provide fresh fruit, vegetables, meats, items, whatever they need. Whatever, whatever they can to, to help those people. Volunteers also lend their time and provide fresh fruit, vegetables, meats, and items to help those who are barely getting by Controversy and Board Decisions in 2019, Pay It Forward Ford Smith got wrapped up in some controversy. Darla Lackey was accused of embezzling money out of the organization. She was eventually cleared, but the organization needed some public relations help. But the organization needed some public relations help. So, they asked Dennis McCaslin, a local blogger, to join the board.

Darla: I hadn't known Dennis, so I hadn't had time to investigate him or the page or, or anything that he I didn't know his history, nothing. And, and so bringing him on, Tammy just thought that would be a good idea. And in reality, it was a really bad idea.

Speaker: a very, very bad idea. I don't think Darla and the board did their homework. Otherwise they would have seen that Dennis McCaslin's tabloid blog was mostly posting mugshots of some of the very, of probably some of the very same people that Darla and her volunteers were trying to help. I'm talking about dozens of mugshots a day. I get it. Mugshots are public domain, but You would think that the man behind the blog would have a clue. would have a squeaky clean record, but let him who is without sin cast the first stone. You would think that the man behind the blog would have a squeaky clean record. And we'll get to that in a second. But first, let's get back to when Dennis started at pay it forward, pay it forward Ford Smith. Let's just say that there was no honeymoon period. Let's just say that there was no honeymoon period. Uncomfortable Encounters with Dennis Darla says that she immediately felt uncomfortable around Dennis

Javier: . It sounds like it. So, okay. So you bring this guy on, right? And you say that little by little, he starts creeping everybody out.

Darla: removed that we brought Dennis McCasland on the board because he ran today in Fort Smith and we thought it would be good publicity for the nonprofit to help fix what this woman had broken.

Speaker: And all these things started to build up. So I started going to the board because it was very upsetting to me that I was having to swallow everything simply because I didn't want to make a fuss and cause more problems He was being very touchy. He became very philly. He became very verbal. Um, he became very fluent and using the restroom and leaving the door open. Um, he did numerous things. And it just, I kept going to the board and I'm like, we have to do something. And of course my board at that time was, was not a strong board. Um, we're, we were all still learning how a nonprofit should run, how it does run and what we needed to do. Because at the same time we're trying to protect myself, ourselves and myself against Dennis. We're still trying to fix what Susanna had already broken. So he resided on the board for quite some time. Um, his antics became just outrageous.

Javier: Tell me about the touching because I want people to understand how creepy it was.

Darla: It was, um, oh gosh. It was very uncomfortable because I already have been diagnosed with PTSD.

Speaker: So,

Javier: If it's uncomfortable, we don't need to talk about it. But I think, you

Darla: it is actually more therapeutic than

Javier: Because I think people could interpret it different ways. Like, is he like touching your shoulder or is he,

Darla: It started out, it started out, you know, the simple, um, I'm putting, you know, counter at the nonprofit, I'm putting groceries in the bag and him standing behind me and for a couple seconds or two, or, or I would be trying to load something up in the truck. Um, cause we had large 18 wheelers for lack of better words, pull up and we didn't have a, Forklift.

Speaker: So we had to climb up in the truck and load them up and down to the people below and unload the trucks. So, um, I, sometimes I couldn't get in, I'm kind of short, so sometimes I couldn't get in and he would just take it upon himself to grab me from behind and boost me using his hands on my booty and push me up or, and, you know, these are all witnessed things. I've had people come to court and testify to these, so this, you know, can't be denied. It's absolutely true. Um, sometimes he would. What I had to unload my Dodge truck. Sometimes I would be trying to stand at the tailgate facing the person in the truck that was handing me things and then turn around and give them to him. And he would just be standing so close to me and everything. He would just reach out and touch my boob, like grab my boob. Um, There's so many different things that he used to do. He used to say, you know, horrible things, you know, that, that I make him hard or that other women make him hard or

Javier: he would say that to you to

Darla: Oh, absolutely.

Speaker: And he would say things like 20, um, make you haul, make you, how would you say that 20 make haul her. Yeah. That one was the one that, you know, and sometimes the women, you know, the volunteers would laugh, but I don't think they were laughing out of, Oh, that's funny. I think they're laughing of embarrassment. You know, it's pure embarrassment Ladonna entersLaDonna Humphrey's Involvement

Darla: And at some point, he brought in LaDonna Humphrey. And while she was on the board, we could tell that there was more than just, um, a light friendship between him and LaDonna. It was very strong. And we, we started to notice this because when she,

Speaker: LaDonna Humphrey served as the Director of Community Relations

Javier: because the series is about LaDonna, I think people are going to be curious about her involvement.

Speaker: LaDonna's Accusations and Email Harassment

Javier: Like, who is she? What, what was it like having her on the board?

Speaker: Did you experience any of the stuff that, that everybody's talking about?

Darla: Oh, absolutely. Yeah. I experienced stuff while she was on the board and even after she left, I started getting emails from her and her friends

Speaker: I got some, some hateful emails. She was calling me Bitch, she was calling me names, calling me a thief, calling me a liar. Just, I mean, she just went off on me. And then between her emails coming, I started receiving more emails from some random person. I think her name was Cindy or Wendy, can't quite remember. And they were just like, F you. LaDonna said you're this and that. And then some of those were forwarded to Dennis too, saying, I know why you left now, Darla's bitch, you know, she's stealing money. And it just, emails just kept coming. I got like six of them back in 2021. And, uh, finally I blocked LaDonna's email and the email that kept sending those. And. Ongoing Harassment and Legal Actions

Darla: It didn't stop there. Next thing you know, Dennis runs a story on his page saying that LaDonna had sent him 300 for our nonprofit to his PayPal and that we We're gonna have that money given to the nonprofit at that time because she didn't trust us.

Speaker: And she wanted him to have it. And then give it to us, which is weird. I did file the police report against LaDonna and Dennis for, for that. And, uh, with the Fort Smith PD, of course, that went nowhere. I could tell she was something wrong with because she would just block one email. She would make a new email. Darla told me that she filed multiple police reports on LaDonna and Dennis McCaslin, but in the end, these reports went nowhere Regardless of whether what Darla is telling me is true or not, it seems that LaDonna Humphrey is incapable of having a normal experience at a job or in a It seems like LaDonna Humphrey is incapable of having a normal experience at a job or any organization she's been a part of. LITTLE DEBBIE I asked Darla to describe the first time she realized that LaDonna Humphrey was not someone she could trust.

Darla: LaDonna was sent to go pick up donations like in Gentry or, um, to get our, You know, snacks for the children for school, for our giveaways and food giveaways, we didn't receive them.

Speaker: I'm in Fort Smith. LaDonna's up towards Gentry where she lives. thought it would be a good idea for LaDonna to pick up the donation and bring it down to us at the non profit. Here's a voice memo of LaDonna talking about making a trip to the Little Debbie factory. We have that big event on Saturday, so I had to drive out to this town. It's out past my house. It's called Gentry. Because that's where this Little Debbie factory is. You know, where they make all those little donuts and snack cakes and whatnot. And they had donated, um, thousands and thousands of Little Debbie snack cakes and donuts that are in these cases. So I've been loading that shit in Danny's truck for the past 15 minutes. And I'm just like I don't want to do this anymore. I just want to do true crime. I don't want to load snack cakes in the back of my truck. Yeah, we just now got done unloading. There's no way I'll make it back to my desk by one. I'm so sorry. But Darla says that those Little Debbie snacks never arrived.

Darla: I set it all up and we never saw it. It was picked up and we never saw it. And, um, I went to Dennis with it.

Speaker: And I said, hey, where's this donation? It'll be here. I went to Dennis again. It'll be here Again. It'll be here. And then finally about the fourth or fifth time, I'm Reaching out and I'm saying, Hey, I need this donation and I'm getting cussed out and, and, uh, we could have done without LaDonna. She was no help to us. She was a source of misery. I mean, she, she, she stole our, Donations from Gentry, simple little candy, simple little ho hos and cupcakes that we, I mean, to everybody else that's simple stuff, but to us, it was the difference of a child having a snack and something to, you know, to munch on when they needed something after school, because we didn't have a lot. Yes. I, I did. Yeah. happened? Well, I have no right on our board, as anyone knows with a nonprofit, the president founder has no vote, but I, Darla says that she was fed up with Dennis McCaslin. And his friends FIRING HIM FROM THE BOARD

Darla: I had finally had enough because the touchy feely stuff was That was just so uncomfortable. And, and nobody was listening to me. Like nobody was hearing me. And it felt really odd to be a woman who's telling the truth, have other women see what he's doing to me.

Speaker: And nobody is listening. So I started using my voice with him. I started telling him, I want you off the board. I can't stand this. You got to go. And I went against everything he had threatened do. I didn't even care anymore about his threats to ruin me, kill me. F me up if I ever told or went against him, I didn't care anymore. So I started standing up to him and it just got really terrible. I had no voice. I had no. I had no Facebook page with 20, 000 followers. So basically it was just my voice against a man who's built a reputation in the community for being media. So of course I'm going against this brick wall and it was really, was really hard and he just kept going and going. While he was

Javier: Did

Darla: finally left

Javier: did the board believe you, though?

Darla: Yes, the board believed me But at the end of the day, they were just as terrified as I was of what he was going to do to the non

Speaker: Darla told me that Dennis McCaslin amped amped up his harassment after he was forced to leave the board. BACK TO DENNIS MCCASLIN

Darla: so sends me messages like Um, well, he says that he doesn't but there's a ninety nine point nine nine chance It's him sending them because what gives it away is what he's What I'm receiving in those messages are all things that he's personally said to me, um, behind closed doors.

Speaker: Those are all things that after I receive those that he will turn around and post on his Facebook ad wise. Uh, for instance, uh, the rape with banana email that I received, he, it wasn't even an hour after that email and I checked the timestamp from their arrival of the email to the time that this ad was posted on his page and it was, wasn't even a full hour and he's running ads underneath his mugshot post about bananas. So, um, when he run, he sent me about my grandmother, uh, the email I received about my grandmother. Um, and then next thing you know, on his page, he's running elderly abuse ads. Um, you know, he, everything that I've received in those messages and emails are what is automatically as soon as I receive them or they're sent to me, they're posted on his page as an ad or an article. So. It's just hard not to put puzzle together when you understand how puzzles work. And, and he's very bold about it, because like I'm saying, the things that he's done to me, no woman should have to live with without any repercussions for the person that does them. And I feel the same way about men. If there's a woman groping on you, you shouldn't have to swallow that and let it be. You should be able to stand up for yourself. And I wasn't, I was never able to stand up for myself. I was constantly attacked for telling, and that's exactly what happened. I told, I got him removed. We moved forward. He was angry and he just started attacking me. And he. Everybody knows he's never going to stop. I have mixed grandchildren. And he would say things like, you wouldn't have mixed grandbabies if you got with a good old boy like me, or, um, I, you should have met me before you met Craig, or he would say, um, you know, you're nuts, but I would eat it. He would, he would say things like that. And he would, he said so much nasty things. He would say like, he always talked about blow jobs. Um, he. He talked about women's booties, what sizes they were. He, he would talk about, uh, women shouldn't bend over like that if they had any respect for themselves, you know, cause women have to pick things up off the ground and, and load things into bags or boxes or trucks or unload. And so he, he would say things, it was just very odd. And it was so random that if you weren't paying attention, you weren't going to catch it. And because he's just so manipulative and random and. He, he just always liked to be touchy, you know, women had said that when they were younger, he was, um, very sexual towards them. van buren girl porn in computer

Darla: And one in particular came forward and said that, uh, at the Van Buren housing center in Van Buren, Arkansas, when he worked there and this girl was 12 years old, he had, um, Downloaded a bunch of, he had made her feel creeped out, so she told her parents and the parents told Van Buren Housing Directors and they looked at Dennis's computer and they found a lot of porno on it that had spread to the other computers, so he was fired.

Speaker: So when she told me that story, I investigated it and I found that that story was true. I became friends with the woman who took his job. And she's still on my friend's list today. And she admits that's exactly what happened, why she got his job. And, um, so he's, he, his stuff with acting creepy started long time ago. CREEPY

Darla: I'm, I'm guessing around the time that he got convicted of solicitation of prostitution. Because, you know, he's been creepy for quite some time, according to people post on Facebook and say, I knew him when I was child and, uh, he was creepy then, you know, so it just doesn't come out of nowhere.

Javier: No, and I mean, I'm looking at his Twitter ex profile, and there's a

Darla: Oh yeah. He's very homo. He speaks very homophobic and very, very racist on him, his ex and stuff.

Javier: yeah, somebody tweeted about Donald Trump denying women safe abortions, and he goes, and his response was, your mom does swallow, that's why I paid her extra. This is coming from a guy who's been arrested for prostitution.

Darla: Your solicitation. Yeah. He tried to pick up a cop.

Speaker: Dennis McCaslin posts constantly about people getting in trouble for prostitution. But isn't it funny that he too has been busted for soliciting, but isn't it funny, but isn't it kind of ironic that he too has been busted for soliciting a prostitute, and yet I don't see his mugshot listed anywhere on his website? On October 5th, 2020, on October 5th, 2006, shortly after 8pm, an undercover, an undercover cop, Posing as a sex worker, was standing on a sidewalk when Dennis McCaslin spotted her. According to the police report, McCaslin circled his truck several times, each time making direct eye contact with the undercover cop. With the undercover cop, he circled around once again and pulled into the dark, and pulled into an alley and turned off his headlights. McCaslin rolled down his window and asked, How's it going tonight, officer? She asked him, what was up with that officer comment? And, and he said he just wanted to make sure that she wasn't a cop. She then asked him if he was a cop, and he said no. She then asked if he was looking for a good time. Dennis McCaslin said, always. She asked him what he wanted and he responded, Oh, you know, Oh, I know what I'm looking for. She said, Do you want some of this? Or do you want some of that? Gesturing at different parts of her body. He said, Some of this. She said, Some head or some pussy? She said, Some head. She said, Some head. McCaslin responded, Some head. She told him it would be, She told him it was going to cost him 20. 20. They walk, so they started walking towards the motel room, and that's when the undercover officers appeared out of nowhere and arrested him. him who is without sin cast the first stone. The Impact of Dennis and LaDonna's Actions

Darla: I mean, we're going on since 2021 and it's now 2024

Javier: And it's still happening today.

Darla: It has not stopped. It has slowed down since I received my protection order against him, November of 2023, but it has not fully stopped. In fact, after my protection order, I still received two more emails. He started running a series of my photos, two at a time on his ads. Um, I would go eat at a restaurant around the corner from my home, because I live in a small country town on the other side of Arkansas. I live up in Oklahoma and I would go into this restaurant and take photos of, Oh, I enjoyed this food because I like blogging food, especially if it's And, um, The next day, he's at that restaurant running photos of him blogging the food at that restaurant.

Javier: So it's enjoying like following you.

Darla: yeah, exactly,

Speaker: DOG/ADS

Darla: You know, but you, you back to those ad things real quick. You know, you see those ads about the teddy bear that he puts in the mug shots. That's about my dog. See my dog bear. He was, he, he, he died at February of this last February. And, um, he was poisoned there for lack of better words.

Speaker: And we don't have to go all into that, but he was poisoned. And, um, before I ever made that public, those teddy bear ads and those, um, abuse of animal ads started being dropped by Dennis. And there's timestamps to prove what I'm saying. So, uh, only way that could have been known is if somebody on the inside knew what was going on with my dog. And only a few people did me, my son and my husband and the vet. So, you know, that you got to kind of put two and two together there on that. And then you see those, um, uh, elderly abuse ads. Those are pertaining to my mama because when he started attacking me, my mom couldn't even take walks anymore after her hip surgery. So we had to move her into more of a secluded, protected community with people her age. And um, so he started running those ads. And then if you'll see those mug shots that are pink with all the pictures of the funny faced people who have criminal records. Those two up in the one in the right corner and the one in the lower corner, those same pictures of different times. Those are me. He constantly, those are me. And, um, from like 20 something years ago

Javier: This is deranged. Like, so you're saying that that ad for spotting the signs of elderly abuse, it's not a real ad? You're

Darla: No, he makes the ads he photoshops

Javier: So like that number, that 1 800 number if I called it, it's

Darla: Oh, that's a real place. I guess. I don't know. I've never called it. But um, what he does is uses something called PZAP on Facebook and you can AI generate things. You can, um, make your own memes, all of that's free or whatnot. And, uh, so he makes these ads and he strategically places them to come at me for what he's coming at me for, you know, the, teddy bear about my dog dying.

Speaker: He runs that one like

Javier: So they're like little sick inside jokes, basically.

Darla: in his mind they're jokes.

Speaker: Financial and Emotional Toll

Darla: Uh, not as much as it probably should have, because I've found a few lawyers that instead of, cause I don't have a lot of money, gotta understand. I've had to move, um, six times, maybe seven at this point. Um, Because Dennis wouldn't stay away from my homes in Fort Smith, Arkansas, he would run photos or ads or post of him next door to my house, or I'd make police reports because he was peering over fences into my backyard.

Speaker: I've had to move several times. So that alone, having to move. Six times at probably 2, 000 a pop that, that got us good right there. And then you got to understand that, um, I've had to pay lawyers because I can't afford to pay one, you know, 4, 000, 5, 000 to take my case. So I'm dropping 150 to 200 to lawyers sporadically for them just to draw motions for disclosure motions for that, just so I can turn them court on my own. Cause I'm having to be my own lawyer. In this case to keep my protection order and make it permanent. I'm having to defend myself while chip's up there defending this man who is guilty of everything that I say. So it's, it's cost me quite a bit. It's probably cost me probably 20, 000 just in moving expenses, losing money within the nonprofit. Um, everything people have gone hungry. It's cost me my sanity. If these accusations are true, this is truly disturbing behavior. So, so are the fact, so is the fact that these pro Ladonna articles keep ending up in this man's blog. If it's true that Ladonna is leveraging McCaslin's platform to prop up interest for her projects or for the people that hate her, or for her enemies, Why would she pick his blog and not create her own shadow blog?

Javier: But it's pretty clear that when you go on, on that tabloid blog that you, you see all her stuff, everything she's interested in, either stuff that she wants to promote or people that she wants to tear down.

Speaker: He's happy to write about it. A lot of these like fake pseudonyms are happy to write articles about whatever

Darla: You talking about Sienna Snyder and Bethany Anderson? absolutely. Absolutely. It's so telling what they're doing. I mean, if you know the situation and you're paying attention, it is so obvious what they're doing. And it's not, you have to understand, he has to get this information from somewhere. He's not, I mean, he's, The way I see him and the way he's been described to me by several psychologists and victims advocates and lawyers and police officers, to boot, is that he's not smart.

Speaker: He's manipulative and sneaky. So that's what makes who he is. That's how they describe him, which You know, and they also talk about his obsession and how that makes him dangerous and how he's extremely nosy and will not take no for an answer. So, at the end of the day, you have to look at the stories and how they're written. How would he possibly know these things unless someone is feeding him the information or that someone is writing that themself like, for instance, this house fire one. He had the postcard on there. So you have to understand that where would he, he didn't have that postcard. That is something LaDonna had. And you can tell by the way the it's written in the story, there's less misspellings. Once you started your podcast, his writing style has changed, his, um, spellings have changed, who he speaks about has changed, um, his ads have changed. Everything has switched up represent what you're doing and going through with LaDonna.

Javier: And in what ways, because I've noticed that change too, but like in what ways do you think it has changed? Like, it seems like there's been a noticeable shift in, in the way he approaches stories or the way she approaches stories where they're not using people's, um, names.

Darla: Well, to know Dennis is to understand that if he's telling the truth, he will lay out something within the story that shows he's telling the truth. So, when he's lying, he will leave that out, put in fake names, like, you know, random names, and, oh, this person said this person said. But when it's her or her, him writing for her in some way or whatnot, It will go more into talking about there's less, uh, there's less grammatical mistakes.

Speaker: And when

Javier: So you're saying, You're saying that when she, when you suspect that she's writing for him, there's less grammar

Darla: errors,

Javier: And so when he's writing you could tell his writing

Darla: Oh, absolutely. Absolutely. I get hundreds of messages a month. And this is no exaggeration of people saying, did you, and sometimes it's the same story, three, five, 10 times I'm being sent. And people constantly say, look how many times he misspelled this. Look how many times he misspelled that.

Speaker: And it's true. I'm no grammar Nazi. In fact, I'm prone to misspelling and typos and pressing, and pressing send before I proofread things. But wow, this guy must have disabled his autocorrect. One headline, one headline, one headline. One headline about me states, One headline about me states, Quote, Bizarre antics of a podcaster cause credibility, credibility, into question. Unquote. He spelled credibility, cre He spelled credibility, C R E D A B I maybe that's just the way he speaks, but, That's just to say that his blog is pure garbage, but all of a sudden he sounds like a Harvard educated, and all of a sudden he sounds like he hasn't har and all of a sudden he sounds like he has a Harvard education

Darla: And some of these people are people he worked for that fired him. Are you know, on my friends list and they're like, he never, you know, he doesn't write that good. But then look at this one, Darla. He's, he's writing real well over here. So this obviously isn't him. And it's very clear and, um, how it's changed up since you started the LaDonna Humphrey.

Speaker: Concluding Thoughts on Manipulation and Abuse

Darla: can't say they're not friends because People who aren't friends don't help each other like that

Speaker: I asked LaDonna Humphrey about this during my interview with her back in June. DAVID MCaslin (bonus)

Javier: Hey, you know,

Speaker: one thing that I thought was really weird with this whole dispute with Anthony was this, um, publication, the name of Fort Smith Today did a publication by Dennis McCaslin. He, he has a lot of articles. It's like an overwhelming amount of articles against, uh, Anthony Christopher. Why, why would he. Want to publish 20240515-riverside_ladonna_humphrey_raw-audio_javier_leiva's stud_0016: would have to talk to him. He's asked. I know him. I know of him. I know him actually And he's asked me to participate in those and I've always declined. So my attorney has told me not to get involved with it

Javier: Okay. So you don't, you know him, but you don't, you haven't been working through him

Speaker: to publish these articles. 20240515-riverside_ladonna_humphrey_raw-audio_javier_leiva's stud_0016: No, absolutely not I don't want anything to do with those he asked me for comment and I don't give them I don't give him a comment. I don't know that he's published anything recently. I haven't seen anything or heard anything. So

Darla: But you got to understand that they're two peas in a pod, Javier. But I actually, I do think you understand that,

Javier: Oh, totally. Everyone that surrounds himself with that woman

Darla: Yeah. Well, people even understand that they haven't been friends for one two years, three years, five years. They've been friends for over 10 years.

Speaker: So for her to try to distance herself from Dennis, I call. I call that bull

Javier: Oh, that's

Darla: she only tried to distance himself because I think that, um, I don't know why I don't know why anybody, I mean, I know why, why some people would distance himself, but

Javier: I know why, I know why she is dissing herself. It's pretty obvious because she has a permanent restraining order um, Anthony Christopher has a permanent restraining order against her

Darla: oh, yeah, and she's writing on his page and shit. Yeah,

Javier: she's using his platform to basically harass him and all the other victims and she's, if she distanced herself from, from, from this dude, she is distancing herself from either violating that injunction or, uh, getting sued for defamation.

Speaker: But what she doesn't understand is that it's pretty transparent. I mean, the guy who, He basically runs a blog posting mug shots of people that got arrested or the other thing he writes about is things that LaDonna cares about. Either the people, LaDonna's enemies, dirt on LaDonna's enemies or LaDonna's projects, the Witt. The Missy Witt thing is, is one of the ads, uh, Oasis is being talked about all the time. Every little pet project she has is being talked about. Why the hell does Dennis McCasland care about me, a podcaster in North Carolina?

Darla: Well, you had to be brought to his attention by somebody.

Speaker: When I started this series on LaDonna, Dennis McCaslin took it upon himself to write me a nasty email. This guy is so tough that he added a self destruct function to the email, like I couldn't screenshot it and save it. I tried to ignore this guy. But, I don't want, because I don't want to give this guy a platform, but I tried to ignore this guy because I don't want to give him a platform. It became impossible to ignore. So, recently, I gave him a call. Here's how it went. Here's how it and Media Mike and all that that stuff. Do you have a couple of minutes? Dennis McCaslin 20240926 1152_R: Um, I don't think I want to talk to you again. Dennis McCaslin 20240926 1152_L: Why, why is that, man? Why not? You post a lot about it. I mean, I figured you had some strong opinions. Dennis McCaslin 20240926 1152_R: Oh, I've got some strong opinions. All right. I don't like your tactics. I don't like your attitude. I don't like the fact that you're running with a story that you have absolutely no idea about the facts about, uh, Dennis McCaslin 20240926 1152_L: did I get wrong? What? Dennis McCaslin 20240926 1152_R: well, first of all, Well, no, I'm not gonna talk to you because you're recording this and I'm not gonna I'm not gonna be Subjected to your bullshit. Dennis McCaslin 20240926 1152_L: But what, what, what are you so afraid of, man? You seem like a, like a pretty, you know, confident guy. Dennis McCaslin 20240926 1152_R: I have an attorney I have an attorney and he tells me what I can and what I can't say. I'm not afraid of anything I'm not afraid of you. You're a little punk ass Dennis McCaslin 20240926 1152_L: So you, you're, you have an attorney. Why? Did you do something wrong? Did Dennis McCaslin 20240926 1152_R: no, no, you just need you know, you need to lose this number and you need to kiss my ass Dennis McCaslin 20240926 1152_L: Hey, so when the prostitute. And he hung up on me. Soon after that call, he posted a defamatory blog about me. And I'm sure he'll post another one after he listens to this episode. By the way, Dennis, thanks for supporting my Patreon. I seriously don't understand why LaDonna's cronies are so protective of her. And I often wonder why she picked these guys to be her mouthpiece. I mean, surely she cringes every time she reads one of these horrendous articles. I mean, surely she cringes every time she reads one of these horrendous articles, or listens to David McClam's god awful rants. But maybe that's the point. She gets these guys riled up, spitting her venom. Spitting their venom, spitting venom, so that it, so that it takes attention away from her. Darla Lackey says that she's grateful that someone is finally telling her story. For a long time, it's been a one way media smear campaign against her. For a long time, it's been a one She says that for a long time, it's been a one way media sm She says that for a long time, it's been a one way media smear campaign. She says that for a long time, it's been a one way media smear campaign against her. And now, she's leveling the playing field.

Darla: I am only one person trying to fight off these well trained, for lack of better words, well trained con artist grifters who are very manipulative and, um, know how to abuse the system to make it work for them.

Speaker: I, I, that's what I've had to deal with. Next time, on LaDonna Surrogates, we are going to turn our attention to another of LaDonna's surrogates, David McClam. Trust me. I also don't want to give this guy's name any more air time than he deserves, but we need to set the record straight. Also, we'll finally answer the question, why did LaDonna Humphrey pick him to represent her side of the story? Of all people. That's next time. Of all people. Alright guys, I hope you enjoyed the first two installments of LaDonna Surrogates. I am going to be peppering these as I go along. I'm still trying to produce regular episodes for the main feed. But if you need your LaDonna fix, just hold on tight, because I got at least two or three more of these. Hey, you never know, but in two or three more weeks I might have even more. They keep giving me content. Do you guys not understand that? Anyway, that's it for today. We'll talk real soon
